The objective of the State Advisory Committee shall be to advise the Commission on:-

 

1. Major Questions of Policy
2. Matters relating to quality, continuity and extent of service provided by the licensees
3. Compliance by the licensees with the conditions and requirements of their license
4. Protection of consumer interests
5. Electricity supply and overall standards of performance by the Utilities and
6. Matters which the Commission may refer specifically.

The State Advisory Committee has significant role in guiding the Commission on question of policy, protection of interest of consumers and other matters relating to supply of distribution of electricity in the State.
